ULI, the Urban Land Institute, is a non-profit research and education organisation focused on the real estate sector with a strong mission, to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.
To advance the mission, the members have identified three mission priorities, which are decarboniation, affordable and adequate housing and educating the next generation of real estate leaders.
Founded in 1936, we now have over 48,000 members worldwide, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines working in private and public sectors.
ULI has been active in Europe since the early 1990s and today we have c. 5,500 members.
We have a particularly strong presence in the major European real estate markets with National Councils in 15 countries across Europe, including e.g., France, Germany, Spain, and United Kingdom.
ULI's main revenue sources come from individual and corporate membership, in addition to corporate sponsorship for a wide range of activities ULI delivers, including events, research and mission driven programmes such as C Change or UrbanPlan.
ULI has developed a pro-active strategy to grow the philanthropic fund raising to support the delivery of our mission priorities.
To support its growth plan, ULI Europe requires an experienced, highly-organised individual to lead a Marketing & Communications team to increase ULI Europe's visibility, value proposition and brand awareness in order to support the growth and retention of individual and corporate membership, strengthening its financial position and overall mission impact.
POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President to spearhead and elevate our marketing efforts across EMEA.
In this role you will take the helm in crafting and executing a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy that aligns with our mission and long-term objectives that is relevant and impactful across our diverse market, which is currently [15] countries.
This pivotal role is crucial in building brand recognition and driving engagement with current and prospective members in each of our markets.
You will work closely with our leadership team and leverage your expertise to deliver innovative marketing solutions that resonate with our diverse audience.
Your strategic vision and creative direction will be instrumental in ensuring that ULI remains at the forefront of the industry, offering unparalleled value to our members and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing and be adept at managing multi-channel campaigns, including digital, social media, content, and event marketing.
They will also have a strong appreciation for cultural diversity and differences and how to deliver a brand across many markets.
This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve ULI Europe's objectives.
This individual will be well-practiced in and embrace working collaboratively with both senior and junior colleagues across multi-functional and multi-jurisdictional roles.
They will also be a strong leader for their marketing team, understanding how to maximise productivity while supporting their team's professional development and career goals.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the COO of ULI Europe, this position will act as a strategic partner to the regional team to develop, organize and execute the marketing and communications plan to support the ULI Europe business plan, according to an agreed budget.
Manage an integrated marketing and communications team to deliver this plan at a strategic level and to respond to tactical marketing requests from the regional programmes, events, corporate development and membership teams.
Curate and deliver creative and dynamic marketing and communications plans to promote ULI Europe's annual flagship events and publications, including: (i) ULI Europe Conference, (ii) ULI C-Change Summit, (iii) Emerging Trends in Real Estate.
Develop regional campaigns which take into consideration cultural sensitivities, local governance, alternate use of media etc Work with senior country leads to support the marketing of their local events and national conferences in an effective manner that is consistent with ULI Global and ULI Europe messaging and values.
Responsibility for all external content and channels, including the website, social media channels and email marketing Work with the US-based Global Services team to align on branding and international campaigns as well content development Analyze, report, and use data metrics to evaluate and improve campaigns and strategies.
Explore new marketing tools that will enhance the ULI brand and presence in the region.
REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 10-15 years marketing and communications experience plus proven experience of delivering creative marketing campaigns on multi-market international basis.
A fluent and sophisticated communicator in written and spoken English is essential.
Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment collaborating remotely with staff members from different countries.
Event, digital and content marketing experience preferably in an international firm with English as the daily language of communication.
Ability to manage a marketing budget to deliver projects and overall strategy on a cost-conscious basis.
A track record in leading a multi-disciplined team and developing and nurturing talent Ideally, some experience and understanding of the real estate industry and the challenges that face the built environment.
Experience in utilising data analysis/management as a tool to optimise further marketing spend.
Extensive experience with corporate writing and editing, including speechwriting and press releases.
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools Working knowledge of ad serving tools Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on major search engines Proficiency in social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Instagram, as well as website and social media management.
The position will be based in London, UK Occasional travel is required.
EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in marketing, communications, or related subject.
