We are looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Fitter/Mechanical Technician to join our team.
Job Description: As a Vehicle Fitter/Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring and maintaining classic and premium vehicles to their former glory.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with extensive hands-on experience and a passion for classic cars.
We value experience over formal qualifications, seeking a candidate who can deliver expert workmanship and innovative solutions to complex automotive challenges.
Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, and restorations on a variety of classic and premium vehicles, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues and develop effective repair plans.
Work independently and efficiently, managing your time and workload to meet project deadlines.
Demonstrate keen attention to detail while ensuring high standards in all aspects of work, from quality control to finish.
Collaborate with other skilled team members to exchange knowledge and provide the best solutions for vehicle restoration projects.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and project updates.
Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience in vehicle fitting, mechanical repairs, and restoration, specifically with classic and premium sports cars.
Proven hands-on experience in problem-solving and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
An understanding of classic vehicle systems, parts, and restoration techniques.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and take ownership of projects.
A genuine passion for classic and sports cars, with an appreciation for their history and craftsmanship.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with both team members and customers.
Ideal Candidate: A semi-retired professional with a wealth of industry experience looking for flexible engagement.
A working parent seeking a part-time role that accommodates family responsibilities but still allows for a passion for classic vehicles.
A mature post-graduate with extensive practical knowledge and experience in the automotive field.
