Job Title: MIG Welder Location: Leicester Salary: £14.00 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced MIG Welder to join our team.
Initially offered as a temporary position, this role has the potential to become permanent after 12 weeks based on performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on various sheet metal materials, including mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
You will be required to work accurately from technical drawings and ensure all work meets our stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding on a range of materials such as mild steel and stainless steel.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings for different materials.
Inspect and test welded components to ensure quality standards are met.
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Collaborate with the production team to resolve any welding or fabrication issues.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workshop environment.
Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience as a MIG Welder, ideally in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings.
Ability to work with various metals, including stainless steel and mild steel.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop setting.
