We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker for our client based in Mansfield:Competence in cylindrical grinding, surface grinding and benchwork requiredJoin our clients experienced team working on a variety of work producing high-quality precision tooling used in various manufacturing processes, including plastics injection moulding, aerospace, food & extrusion.The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude and hands-on experience in tool making to meet precise specifications, and feel a sense of pride when you see a project you have been involved with come to fruition.The Tool Maker will work closely with all employees to create, modify, and maintain low volume tooling.DutiesOperate various machinery including mills, grinders, and lathes to produce tooling componentsTroubleshoot issues related to tooling and production processesAbility to read & interpret engineering drawingsInspect finished parts for conformance to specificationsEnsure compliance with safety regulationsMaintain a clean & tidy working environmentSkillsProficient in the use of hand tools and machinery relevant to tool makingStrong understanding of machining processes and principlesExperience in plastics injection moulding processes is advantageousCompetence in cylindrical grinding, surface grinding and benchwork requiredExperience/Knowledge of milling, turning and other machining techniquesExcellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of workAbility to work independently as well as part of a team environmentAbility to use a variety of measuring equipmentWe invite passionate individuals who meet these criteria to apply for this exciting opportunity.
