Toolmaker

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker for our client based in Mansfield:
Competence in cylindrical grinding, surface grinding and benchwork required Join our clients experienced team working on a variety of work producing high-quality precision tooling used in various manufacturing processes, including plastics injection moulding, aerospace, food & extrusion.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude and hands-on experience in tool making to meet precise specifications, and feel a sense of pride when you see a project you have been involved with come to fruition.

The Tool Maker will work closely with all employees to create, modify, and maintain low volume tooling.

Duties Operate various machinery including mills, grinders, and lathes to produce tooling components Troubleshoot issues related to tooling and production processes Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications Ensure compliance with safety regulations Maintain a clean & tidy working environment Skills Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery relevant to tool making Strong understanding of machining processes and principles Experience in plastics injection moulding processes is advantageous Competence in cylindrical grinding, surface grinding and benchwork required Experience/Knowledge of milling, turning and other machining techniques Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment We invite passionate individuals who meet these criteria to apply for this exciting opportunity.
