The role The Weapons area primarily supports the design, development, production, and integration activities associated with Weapon Systems.
As a result of new contracts, the engineering team are looking for motivated Technicians.
As an Engineering Technician within Raytheon, you will work a team of engineers generally operating in a workshop / laboratory environment.
Main Duties This position offers a great deal of variety with on-job training provided.
The roles responsibilities will include the following: Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and legislation.
Mechanical assembly, modification, and repair of hardware Regular checking of tools and machinery.
Mechanical and Electrical testing.
Completion of forms and maintenance records.
Understand quality requirements and proactively report issues/observations.
The role will also offer the opportunity to work occasionally away from the main facility in Harlow.
Candidate Skills Essential Previous experience of working in electrical and mechanical technician role.
Able to follow strict company Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
Proficient in using tools for repair and manufacture of equipment.
Ability to work accurately and to deadlines Good hand-eye coordination Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Desirable Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems Previous experience in an Aerospace or Defence working environment.
Drivers Licence UK Passport Willingness to travel when required.
