We serve clients engaged in oil & gas projects and renewables such as carbon capture & storage, geothermal and offshore wind.Job purposeBased in Aberdeen, you will technically support clients to define their project requirements, and surveyors in the field to ensure scope of work requirements are met or exceeded.
As a specialist in your field, you will also support the business during the technical delivery process including use of customised project tools and processes, review daily and final deliverables and close out projects.
Within the technical team and in line with business objectives you will support development of new services to deliver high end quality services to our clients.You will:Adhere to and support Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements.Work with the Business Development team to attend client meetings to promote ModuSpec services, discuss industry trends and future project requirements.Liaise with clients to understand their rig intake & inspection, technical advisory and rig prformance requirements to support the bids and proposal process by developing technical scopes of work.On a day-to-day basis, project manage technical delivery for confirmed projects to deliver maximum value to the client and stakeholders through diligent preparation during kick-off meetings, develop technical delivery plans, equipment test plans, and customised deliverables so that everyone knows what is happening, and when.Work hand-in-hand with operations to review resourcing of projects, development of service delivery protocols and briefing of surveyors / auditors in advance of project commencement.Provide technical support to the clients and surveyors / auditors on project utilising your knowledge of drilling rig equipment, what is required to comply to local and international regulations and to meet client specific requirements.Support the compilation, analysis, and completion of deliverables, including closure of recommendations.Periodically conduct chargeable project work through onshore or offshore technical review / assessments / inspections in line with own discipline specific knowledge.
Support development of new services and digital solutions.You will need:An engineering and/or relevant qualification.
Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.Deep understanding of drilling rig equipment and systems, including maintenance, compliance requirements, operational and integrity management.Deep understanding of national and international standards such as API.Advantageous to be member of a professional industry body.A discipline specific background working onboard drilling rigs as part of the maintenance crew for more than 10 years.Experience of both conventional and new generation rig types.Experience of working within rig management, in roles such as Maintenance Supervisor or Technical Section Leader.Experience during rig projects i.e.
new-build commissioning, reactivation, recertification.Experience of being part of a rig intake process.Experience in project management to effectively meet client requirements.Be capable of client engagement with excellent communication skills.Ability and understanding to participate, communicate, positively contribute and add value in technical discussions with clients and ModuSpec colleagues alike.Demonstrable track record of leading by example while delivering a high level of customer service, both individually and as part of a team.

Be able to demonstrate professional people skills and promote a team working environment across the area of business.Problem solving skills and ability to find the best solution for the client.Ability to write coherent technical reports.
