Technical Sales Engineer

Fortis recruitment are working with a global client to recruit a technical sales manager.
This position is looking after existing clients to maximise sales and to assist them in improving their machining processes.
The successful technical sales engineer will be managing clients throughout Europe.
You will be advising clients on CNC cutting tools and how to optimise their operations.
You will need to have in-depth knowledge of cutting tools to be able to demonstrate to prospective clients the benefits of a certain type of tool and alternative ways to machine certain parts.
Key requirements / experience - Knowledge of CNC cutting tools - Ability to do CAD/ CAM programming (ideally with NX or hyperMILL) - Able to travel throughout Europe on a regular basis - Process improvement experience The technical sales engineer will be working with distributors and other sales staff to promote products to customers.
This is not a heavily business development focused role but more being the technical expert in the sales process.
You will also assist current customers by advising how they can improve efficiency in their machining process.
This role would suit someone currently in a technical sales / applications engineer / hands on machining with cutting tools role.
As this is a field based role location isnt that important but being in the Midlands would help if you need to visit any UK customers.
