Technical Lead

Details of the offer

For more information about how to apply go to: https://www.talamo.co.uk/jobs/tech-lead About Talamo We're an ed-tech start-up that's modernising how schools support students with different neurodiversity.
We've created an automated dyslexia and cognitive profiling tool that allows schools to assess their entire student-base quickly.
Our mission is to help schools identify students in need as early as possible to ensure they get the best start in life.
Our platform is designed to make this as fast and easy as possible. We launched the first iteration in September of this year, with a great response and traction.
We're now looking to build out our platform to allow for even greater scalability and start thinking about how we can assess other neurodiversity including ADHD and Autism.
The Role We're looking for a Tech Lead who is not just a strong leader but a highly skilled coder—someone who thrives on writing clean, efficient code and can drive Talamo's product forward.
In the short term, you'll be responsible for all development—getting hands-on with our platform and building out our product roadmap.
Longer-term, we want you to help define Talamo's technical roadmap, and build out our development team.
We launched the first iteration in September of this year, with a great response and traction.
We're now looking to build out our platform to allow for even greater scalability and start thinking about how we can assess other neurodiversity including ADHD and Autism.
What you'll do Hands-on coding:  You'll be deep in the code, working directly with React, Next.js, GraphQL and Supabase.
We need someone who loves to build and solve problems at a technical level.
Architectural Decisions:  Shape and own the technical architecture, ensuring it's robust, maintainable, and future-proof (but not grossly over engineered!)
Define Tech Team Growth:  As we scale, you'll determine how our tech team should grow, guiding recruitment and setting our dev team culture.
Key requirements Proven Tech Lead Experience:  You've led development teams but remain passionate about writing top-quality code yourself.
Comfortable With Our Tech Stack : Advanced skills in React, Next.js, GraphQL, Supabase, Vercel, and Google Cloud Platform.
You'll need to handle a little bit of dev ops before we build out our team.
Hands-on and Adaptable:  You love being in the thick of development and can shift gears quickly when needed.
Adaptability is key.
The world is moving fast and we need to move faster.
Leadership:  You've managed teams before, know how to mentor developers, and can foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Excited about AI:  At the risk of buzz-word bingo, we believe our product is ripe for the use of LLMs to actually improve user outcomes.
With smart use of this tech, we want to drive up the personalisation of the experience - both in the test itself and the analysis.
We want someone as excited as we are about this.
Why Talamo?
We think this is pretty simple.
You'll get to build a product that actually makes a difference.
You'll be in a position to make real and lasting decisions.
You can flex your creativity and innovation with technology.
And you get to have a share in the success of the business.
How to apply Send your CV and a cover letter explaining why you're excited about this role to  ****** .
We'd love to hear from you!
