THE ROLE As a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant (TA2) at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support.
You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future.
This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day.
This includes: Getting the classroom ready for lessons Supporting children in class with reading, visual learning and messy play Helping those who need extra support Completing pupils record plans THE CANDIDATE GCSE Maths and English or equivalent Experience or interest in working with children/ young people with SEN / SEND needs Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships SALARY/ HOURS Starting salary for a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant is £18,596 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust NEXT STEPS For more information please refer to the job description attached.
