Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme.
This full-time role starts in January and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent depending on performance.
About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting students and staff to ensure effective teaching and learning.
You will work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping students of all abilities achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, helping them with classwork and building their confidence.
Assist teachers with lesson preparation, including preparing resources and materials.
Support students with additional needs, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and participate in school activities.
Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to teaching staff to inform planning and interventions.
Encourage student engagement and motivation, fostering a supportive atmosphere for learning.
Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunchtime or extracurricular sessions.

What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational environment.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable in supporting students with diverse needs.
Show enthusiasm for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
Be organized, proactive, and reliable, capable of working effectively as part of a team.
Be available full-time from January through to the end of the academic year.
Previous experience in a similar role or qualifications related to education or child development would be an advantage but are not essential, as training and support will be provided.
