Strategic purpose of the position :
This position is responsible for management and development of direct tax and transfer pricing compliance in Europe, development and implementation of enhanced process and control procedures and leading strategic projects which support wider business growth within the region.
Job Responsibilities: Management of corporate income tax compliance within the wider Europe region.
Developing and implementing enhanced processes and controls commensurate to a rapidly growing multinational enterprise.
Ongoing research to direct tax legislative and regulatory changes with regard to impact to the Shein business.
Developing initiative and process/business changes necessary to adhere to those regulatory requirements.
Working in partnership with cross functional business teams for development and implementation of key strategic business changes, routes to market and reorganisations.
Managing direct tax related communications with tax authorities.
Partner with commercial finance, legal, treasury, accounting and other functions to communicate, execute, protect and fund various initiatives which aim to ultimately maximize cash for the corporation.
Job Requirements: Experienced and energetic finance professional with a passion to make a difference.
Should be a true team player with very good communication and attention to detail.
Demonstrates an ability to develop and maintain relationships on a cross regional, cross functional and cross cultural basis.
Demonstrates thought leadership ability to communicate complicated tax matters across all levels of the organization in a value driven manner.
Relevant professional tax and/or accounting qualification.
Fluent in English.
Chinese is advantageous but not a requirement.
At least 10 years of direct tax experience across practice and industry roles.
