Young Adult Support Worker, job vacancy Bishopston, Bristol (Social Care Experience needed) Salary: £11.83 - £12.78 per hour / £24,600 - £26,600 per annum, DOEWelcome: Enjoy a £1500 Welcome Bonus to thank you for joining our team!Contract Type: Full Time, PermanentHours: 40 Hours per week, Working a 2-Week Rota Pattern including every other weekend.

Role Overview: As a Support Worker, you will work in a Supported Living and Learning Environment with young adults aged 19+ who have severe learning difficulties and challenging behavior.
Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing social activities to enhance quality of life Assisting with all aspects of daily living and promoting independence Establishing warm, caring, and supportive relationships with individuals Encouraging and guiding supportive independence Criteria: We are seeking proactive, compassionate individuals who demonstrate: Previous care experience Ability to work to a rota pattern including every other weekend Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and understanding Motivation to learn and go the extra mile Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence Good interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills An active approach to the role Safeguarding: Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and applicants will need to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless "protected" under DBS filtering rules) to assess their suitability.
