Support Worker - Gowerton, Swansea - Hourly rate £11.60 to £12 - Full time - 40.25 hours per week A full UK driving license is required for this role.
At Ty Seren we support adults with complex needs associated with autism.
We embrace sector-leading practice and blend education, care and therapeutic support to provide tailor-made placements for unique individuals.
There are plenty of opportunities for socialising with communal lounges and a large kitchen and dining area and several acres of fields and woodland.
A day in the life of working at Ty Seren includes: Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment; Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration; Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones; Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs; Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise; General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation; Sound good so far?
We are looking for people who care and have: A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships; Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs; A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team; Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes; Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts; A driving licence isn't essential, but would be advantageous; Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
