Job Description ** Please Note - Our organisation can not provide work sponsorship, please do not apply for this vacancy if you require this to work in the UK ** We are looking for kind and caring personal assistants to join our clients care team. The hours available are 8am to 4pm every day and you should be flexible and willing to work across all days on a rolling rota, working alternate weekends.
Our client is a young man in his 20's with a brain injury and complex care needs. Our client needs structure, routine and support with everyday tasks to enable him to access the community and social activities. The ideal support worker for this package will have a calm, patient and kind nature. You should be an excellent communicator with good verbal skills as our client does not have verbal speech and instead communicates through facial expressions, 'Eye Gaze' communication device and body language. You will need to be a driver with a full, UK driving licence and will be expected to drive our clients adapted vehicle to appointments and accompany him to participate in leisure activities.
Complex care and personal care is required in this role and it is essential that you have experience of these.
Requirements Training Provided Specific to this Client: Induction Training Safeguarding Adults Health and Safety First Aid Food Hygiene Tracheostomy Care / Suction Oral Suction Moving & Handling with Hoist Medication Care Needs - via PEG Gastrostomy Epilepsy / Learning Disability / Mental Health Awareness You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are 'already known to the client' and have care experience, this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere, previous care experience is not essential.
