Whats the Role:Support Worker What It Takes: An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their skills to aid in their independence.
Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Castle Lane Castle Lane Main, is a combination of group living, a flat cluster and bungalows.
We currently have 16 residents who all have a diagnosis of a learning disability along with other physical disabilities or mental health issues.
The care provided to all the people we support is completed on an individual basis and can vary depending on ability and need.
These tasks can range from personal care, cooking and cleaning support, financial management, support with medications, attending the gym, accessing the local community, medical appointments etc.
Staff work with all tenants the shifts vary from 8am-9pm, 9am-10pm, 2pm-10pm and waking night cover from 10pm 8am.
There is also the requirement for sleepover staff each evening.
The staff team consists of full time and part time support workers and 4 teams leaders along with a team of relief staff to help cover training and annual leave.
Castle Lane is a challenging but rewarding scheme.
