We are looking to recruit passionate and motivated support officers to provide person-centred support to individuals who are supported by this organisation.
We aim to provide emotional support to people who are currently being exploited by the sex industry, including those suffering from substance misuse and people suffering with their mental health.
We believe that everyone in society should have a chance to succeed, and be provided support when needed the most.
Your new role: You will be working closely with the individuals to manage their needs.
You will help service users to identify goals and provide the support they need to reach them.
This will involve liaising with other agencies to help the people you support keep their place within the property.
In addition, you will be supporting the service users to organise their finances and promote their independence.
You will be completing activities to promote and build self-esteem.
What you'll need to succeed: Experience of working with women who are vulnerable to sexual exploitation, knowledge of issues around domestic and sexual violence along with its effects on women and children.
It is important that you can use a caring approach to build trust and strong relationships.
It is also essential that you have strong listening skills and confidence to deal with potentially challenging situations.
You will need to be a UK driver and have your own car.
You will also be required to complete on-call duties, completing them 3/4 times a month on a rota basis.
