Job Advertisement: Primary Supply Teacher Location: Portsmouth Contract Type: Supply (Various Dates) Start Date: January 2025 Are you a flexible and experienced primary teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to support local schools in Portsmouth ?
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Primary Supply Teacher to join our pool of supply staff, starting in January 2025 .
About Us: We work with a range of primary schools in Portsmouth that are looking for reliable, adaptable, and passionate supply teachers to cover planned and short-term absences.
As a supply teacher, you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of year groups and educational settings, making a difference in students' lives while enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching offers.
The Role: As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for managing the classroom, and supporting students' learning across a range of subjects.
You will step into different classrooms, ensuring continuity in learning and providing a positive and supportive environment for children.
The role offers flexibility with the potential for regular work across several schools in the area.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre-planned lessons across the primary age range (EYFS to Key Stage 2).
Ensure the smooth running of the classroom, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
Adapt to different school environments and classroom settings quickly and effectively.
Provide feedback on student progress to class teachers and school leadership.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure the needs of all students are met.
Manage classroom resources and ensure the classroom is well-organised.
What We're Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in primary schools (desirable but not essential).
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage children in learning.
A flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching.
A professional attitude and the ability to build positive relationships with students and school staff.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
