We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to work with secondary schools in the Portsmouth, Hampshire area.
This role offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to choose how many days you work each week while focusing solely on teaching without the added pressure of planning or marking.
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-prepared lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Your role will be to ensure continuity of learning, engage students, and manage the classroom effectively during teacher absences.
Responsibilities of the Supply Teacher: Deliver engaging and effective lessons using pre-prepared plans, ensuring a productive learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
Support students with their learning, answering questions and providing encouragement.
Ensure a smooth and seamless transition for students during the teacher's absence.
Liaise with school staff as needed to ensure the school day runs smoothly.
Requirements of the Supply Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4 in a secondary school setting is advantageous.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
