Supply Desk are working very closely with a Primary School based in Southampton that are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to start in January 2025 on a long term contract, with the school potentially looking to make it permanent for the right individuals.
The School are looking for Teaching Assistants that ideally has experience working in a similar role or relevant experience supporting Primary aged students.
You ideally will have experience working with students with additional needs and be understanding of this.
You will ideally have relevant qualifications and training in education and be a positive person that engages well with students.
The role will be supporting students in the classroom and also in small groups.
You will be supporting the classroom teacher when working in a supportive learning needed support department.
The role is a great opportunity for anyone that is interested in a career in education.

Pay: Daily Rate (£78-£85) Location: Southampton Start Date: January 2025 Hours: Full time 27 hours a week
Duties may include:
Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher Reporting back as appropriate using the school's agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising
