Supply Desk is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Slough starting January 2025.
This role is perfect for individuals who are eager to gain valuable experience while working in a supportive and nurturing environment, making a real difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
Role & Responsibilities: Provide compassionate and patient support to children with a range of complex learning difficulties.
Build effective communication with parents and teachers to provide behavioral and emotional support.
Plan and deliver tailored support to students with challenging behavior, ensuring a positive impact on their learning.
Work with SEN students in 1:1, small group, and classroom settings, adapting teaching styles to meet individual needs.
Implement and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Bring creativity to lessons, ensuring that they are engaging, enjoyable, and effective.
Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with care and responsibility.
Follow child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality policies, ensuring concerns are reported correctly.
Assist with pupil supervision before and after school, as well as during breaks.
The Ideal Candidate Will: Have a strong understanding of SEN and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.
Hold an NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (unqualified candidates are welcome to apply).
Have experience supporting children's social and emotional development.
Be enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to making a positive impact on students' lives.
Be able to commute to Slough.
Hold a current, valid DBS or be willing to obtain one.
