At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.Join us as a Supplier Quality Associate and help perfect our medical device arsenal by collaborating with suppliers and resolving any quality issues in order to impact the lives of our patients and customers for the better!We're looking for someone with a strong quality background and who enjoys working with data, metrics and records.
You'll find no two days are the same as you'll be working on multiple streams of work at once, with your key focus being ensuring we never compromise on quality.
This role has the ability to have a real impact on the products we make for our customers.What will you be doing?You will be instrumental in providing support to S+N, and our suppliers of materials, whilst resolving any quality issues and improving processes in a highly regulated environment.You will also get hands on with the below:Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality and resolve quality issues.Utilise statistical techniques to assess product acceptance and process capabilities.Monitor supplier performance metrics for risk mitigation and reporting.Assist in the supplier change notification process.Handle Quality SOPs and incoming inspection documents.Support the customer complaint process.What will you need to be successful?You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or industrial preferred) or relevant work experience.
If you have a quality background, even from another industry, that's ideal!You'll be part of a lively team, balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Flexibility is key, as you'll need to switch between tasks and work closely with our manufacturing operations teams.
Attention to detail and the appetite to drive quality is a must.You.
