Job Advert: KS2 Teaching Assistant - Sunderland Position: Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistant Location: Sunderland Employer: Teaching Personnel Start Date:  3/2/25 Salary: £85 - £95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications) Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Sunderland.
Key Responsibilities: Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to KS2 pupils.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to children who require additional assistance.
Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Assisting with the preparation of resources and classroom materials.
Supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) where applicable.
Promoting the development of pupils' confidence, social skills, and academic progress.
Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (essential).
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
