Student Design Engineer - Hydraulics Niftylift Limited is a private UK company, which was founded in 1985, and has achieved sustained sales growth year on year to become one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of mobile elevated work platforms.

1      Overview Support the design team with designing hydraulic systems for mobile elevated work platforms.
2      Relationships Responsible to            : Chief Engineer - Hydraulics      Liaison with                  : All design team members         3      Main tasks         Design and draw hydraulic schematics for new machines.
        Perform engineering calculations required for designing hydraulic systems.
        Use solid modelling to package hydraulic components and hoses.
        Undertake drawing changes and implement change control of components.
        Carryout light assembly work and testing activities related to developing hydraulic systems.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role and the organisation's overall business objectives.
4      Qualifications & experience         Studying towards a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
        Good understanding of hydraulic systems, components and schematics would be beneficial.
        Experience in Automation Studio, Creo, Windchill or similar packages would be beneficial.
5      Characteristics         Able to work individually as well as a team member.
        Good attention to detail and consistently produces high quality work.
        A keen desire to learn new technologies.
