Structural Engineer Manchester City Centre 30k - 40k (possibly more depending on experience) An independent Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Manchester City Centre is currently looking for a Structural Engineer with over 3 years' experience to join the team to work on a number of UK-wide projects that include a strong portfolio of Sports, Leisure, and Stadia projects.
Manchester is their only UK office, and you will be joining a team of around 10 Engineers and Technicians.
The right Structural Engineer will be expected to undertake structural design calculations in various media including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry in accordance with British Standards / Euro Codes to successfully deliver projects for Clients.
Projects will be allocated by you, and design works can, in some instances, include the provision of working drawings, whilst in others you would liaise with a draftsman who will produce the drawings for your review.
Experience/Qualifications Include: Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering with a minimum of around 3 years' post-qualification experience.
BEng (Hons) essential, Meng (Hons) preferable.
Independently further your Professional Development towards Professional Membership of ICE or IStructE; however, support will be provided through in-house mentoring supplemented by externally provided or in-house training sessions as appropriate.
Package: 37.5 hours working week, notionally 9am-5pm with some flexibility, based in our Manchester City Centre.
Salary dependent upon experience but most likely 30k - 40k per annum.
Holidays - 25 days (3 to be taken over the Christmas period) plus statutory Bank Holidays.
