Job summary Static Respiratory Physiotherapist Band 6 - hours per week This is an exciting opportunity to work within the acute respiratory physiotherapy team as a static band 6 staff member.
The team works hard to provide a very high standard of assessment and treatment to patients that have a respiratory diagnosis in multiple environments including ITU, A&E, AMU and respiratory wards.
The team encourages learning and development and multiple staff members have enhanced skills.
Main duties of the job To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients in the specialist areas of respiratory medicine, acute respiratory care, ITU and surgery.Be an autonomous practitioner being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work.Participate in the Respiratory Emergency On-call Rota.
Car driver / owner essential.They will assess, diagnose, plan and deliver treatment and/or management programmes to patients in their care.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Degree in Physiotherapy HCPC Registration Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical fields in rotations.
Evidence of on-call competencies Evidence of a broad clinical background Desirable Involvement with special Clinical Interest Group Membership of Skills and Knowledge Essential Clinical reasoning skills Clinical Audit Understand the legal responsibilities of the profession Risk Assessment Up to date in professional practice and new research Understanding of clinical governance and its implications for services including experience of quality issues and audit.
Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust's policies of data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety and meet the differing needs of patients.
Experience Essential Broad clinical experience as a band 5/ band 6 demonstrating Knowledge in Out Patients, Medicine, Respiratory, Elderly Rehabilitation, Neurological and Critical Care.
Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and multidisciplinary team.
Student or Physiotherapy Assistant supervision
