* You can read more about the different benefits offered to colleagues working for Nottingham City Council .About the RoleTo provide specialist level Oracle or SQL database support for Core Corporate applications systems to ensure they operate efficiently through using techniques such as database performance tuning, data integrity check and ensure corporate data is secure from unauthorized access.
Ensure that new database requests, legislative changes, application upgrades and patches are efficiently delivered and managed, meeting or exceeding service targets; that they are aligned to customer requirements.
To provide technical knowledge and support on existing and future ICT 3rd party packages and projects in accordance with corporate technology standards and IT security policies.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have: Microsoft or Oracle Certified Professional qualifications are desirable, with training available to suitable candidates Experience of Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle Database server AIX or Windows operating system knowledge is desirable The role may require you to participate in the on call rota.
