The Royal Shakespeare Company is looking to appoint a Sound Number 3 for the upcoming production of My Neighbour Totoro to the Gillian Lynne Theatre, London.
This position is offered as a fixed term contract, commencing on 17 February 2025.
As Sound Number 3, you will support the Sound No.
1 & 2 in maintaining the sound and comms systems on the production, to the highest possible standard.
You will participate in the running of each performance and deal promptly with sound and comms issues that arise, as well as supporting on publicity and access events as required.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience: Experience in a Sound Number 3 position and radio mic running, opening and show running a large-scale live theatre production, with a large cast, and a live band.
Previous experience managing and fault finding a comms system for multiple technical departments.
Previous experience of liaison with in-house technical teams.
An understanding and practical knowledge of the principles and safe working practices of theatre rigging and sound systems My Neighbour Totoro will perform at the Gillian Lynne Theatre.
