  ?  Role Overview??  As a Reporter at Digital Frontier, you'll have the unique opportunity to engage with trailblazing businesses and reveal the secrets behind their success.

We're seeking a storyteller who thrives on meaningful conversations with visionary leaders and who enjoys pushing boundaries to find the most impactful ways to tell each story.
You'll have the creative freedom to experiment with formats, whether it's podcasts, long-form essays, newsletters, social posts, or video series, ensuring every narrative reaches and captivates the right audience at the right time.
In true Digital Frontier fashion, your writing, presenting, and interviewing will elevate our content, helping it cut through the noise.
You'll dive into the world of startups, shining a spotlight on the founders and creators shaping the future.
You'll uncover the personal journeys behind admired brands, showcasing how they're redefining industries and changing the world.

Not your typical media business, we pride ourselves on our agile structure, commitment to trying new approaches, and a culture that encourages out-of-the-box thinking.    Key Responsibilities??  Longform content creation: Produce insightful, future-facing longform pieces on building successful tech companies, offering unique angles that extend beyond daily headlines.  Vodcast series coordination: Organise and record a vodcast series on various aspects of start-up life, collaborating with the team for effective execution.  Industry representation: Represent Digital Frontier at owned and industry events, engaging in speaking, moderating, and networking opportunities.  Story ideation: Present fresh and engaging story ideas in weekly editorial meetings, selecting formats that best suit the concepts.  Event tracking: Maintain an up-to-date newsroom calendar, incorporating relevant events as they arise.  Social media engagement: Use social platforms regularly to promote your stories and the Digital Frontier brand while connecting with new, relevant contacts.  Team support: Share your knowledge with the wider team, offering support and introductions to colleagues as needed.  Newsletter production: Develop a regular newsletter on topics related to your beat, ensuring it is informative, insightful, and entertaining.
Additionally, assist in writing the weekly Digital Frontier newsletter, The Mid-Week Drop, ensuring it aligns with our brand voice.  Requirements You have a bachelor's degree in journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.  You bring over 5 years of experience as a writer, focusing on digital technology, business, startups, or a related field.  You are a self-starter with strong connections in the startup and tech community, knowledgeable about the latest conversations and historical context of the industry.  You excel at juggling the hunt for stories and interviews with the demands of filing clean copy multiple times per week.  You have a wealth of creative story ideas and connections, readily sharing these with colleagues to elevate the quality of every story Digital Frontier publishes.  Your written and verbal communication skills are exceptional, demonstrating clarity and engagement.  You have a proven ability to build new contacts, both in the UK and globally.  You are comfortable on stage, hosting and presenting, thriving in front of a camera or on podcasts.  You are active on social media, engaging with a strong following and leveraging useful connections.  If you can edit audiovisual content, it's a plus for this role (but not required).  You demonstrate high proficiency with Microsoft tools and digital platforms.  As a journalist, you have a sharp attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in your work.  And, of course, a genuine interest in digital technology is essential.  Benefits Enjoy 28 days of annual leave.  Private health, dental & life insurance for peace of mind.  Experience the best of both worlds with hybrid working – splitting your working days between our vibrant central London office and the comfort of your own home.  Enhanced employer pension contribution.  Stay fit and healthy with subsidised fitness memberships.  Be part of a creative and engaging company culture that runs through every aspect of our business, accompanied by regular staff socials.
