The role The Software Engineer Lead plays a critical role in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
They are responsible for design, development, and implementation of software projects, directly or through the coaching of other engineers.
Combining engineering principles and knowledge of programming languages, software engineers provide solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements for end users.
Software Engineer Leads may have niche skills applicable to specific technologies, business units or organisations but fundamentally are responsible for both guiding technical aspects of a project and managing the team to ensure successful delivery, maintaining a strong commercial focus to optimise operational expenditure.
Key accountabilities: Act as technical leader overseeing and implementing new features and functionality as well as changes and improvements to existing services.
Provide expertise to solve complex technical issues and guidance on the best approaches and technologies to use.
Contribute to long-term technology strategy, capability runway and feature roadmaps, evaluating and recommending new tooling, technologies, and practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging and degrading technologies in a rapidly evolving environment.

Keeps up to date and have deep insight into newest technologies and trends.
What are we looking for?
Cloud Computing and Infrastructure: Understanding of cloud platforms (., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security principles, including data protection, identity management, and secure coding practices.
DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines: Expertise in DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
Seasoned developer with broad knowledge of programming languages, frameworks and libraries, able to solve problems by applying algorithms and using data structures.
