What the Job Involves As a Mainstream Supervising Social Worker, your role involves overseeing the placement of children with foster families.
You will support foster carers by offering guidance, training, and assistance as they provide a nurturing environment for children.
You will conduct regular visits and assessments to ensure the well-being of both the children and foster families under your supervision.
Your responsibilities include preparing detailed reports and documentation to support case reviews and planning.
You will actively participate in team meetings and liaise with other professional agencies to coordinate a holistic approach to each childs care.
Your role also involves contributing to the recruitment and training of new foster carers, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
You are expected to stay updated with advancements in social work practice and apply these to improve service delivery within the team.
