Join our dynamic Children CAMHS team in Barking & Dagenham as a Social Worker Specialist and make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities: Prioritise and manage the day-to-day workload, ensuring LAC cases are handled effectively.
Provide clinical advice, support, and guidance to the team regarding the treatment and care of LAC.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of LAC children and their support networks to address mental health needs.
Deliver brief interventions and guidance to children, families, and carers.
Ensure timely assessments and adherence to local and national LAC targets.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, care plans, and risk assessments.
Identify and escalate safeguarding issues promptly to protect children and families.
Work collaboratively with NELFT teams, local authorities, and other providers to ensure holistic care.
Support team development, foster integrated health and social care working, and participate in audits and staff appraisals.
What We're Looking For: A dedicated professional with experience in children's mental health services.
Strong knowledge of national and local protocols for Looked After Children.
A collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Leadership skills to inspire and develop team effectiveness.
