What you'll do Supporting the Head of Data Governance & Ownership and the VP, Data in Germany, effectively drive the successful implementation of data governance initiatives in Germany [, Austria & Switzerland (DACH)].
Support the design of frameworks for organizing and categorizing data domains to effectively embed data governance and data management initiatives.
Support engagement with business stakeholders to across multiple domains on implementing and assuring data governance and data management best practice.
Drive and own data governance initiatives as part of data domain squads comprising experts across data governance and data management to ensure data ownership practices and data governance policies are adhered to.
Develop monitoring and measuring capabilities to be used by data role holders and Data Excellence teams to track and report effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
Work closely with business stakeholders and Data Owners/Stewards in DACH to identify critical data sets and drive the implementation of data governance and data management controls across these critical data sets.
Support in orchestrating forums and managing ownership structures to address data governance issues effectively.
Support data role holders, engineering and technology colleagues in interpreting policies to guide data governance practices, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide support in testing and validating the effectiveness of key controls within data governance policies, ensuring robust and compliant practices.
Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies in data governance, providing valuable insights and actively contributing to data governance innovation within Sky Group.
What you'll bring Fluent in German and English written and spoken communications (business & social) Proven expertise in delivering data governance and data ownership initiatives in complex organisations.
Demonstrated understanding of data governance principles, policies, best practices and industry trends.
Possess an aptitude for analysis and working knowledge of building and rolling-out Data Governance KPIs and Dashboards.
Proficiency in data management and data governance technologies and tooling e.g.
Collibra, GCP Data Catalog etc.
Strong track record of successfully initiating, delivering, and maintaining data-related initiatives while effectively communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at various organizational levels and backgrounds.
Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to drive improvements in establishing data governance frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail in supporting the implementation of data governance policies and frameworks.
Demonstrated willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic environment, embracing new challenges and opportunities.
