Site Quality Engineer

BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Site Quality Engineer to join our EGL2 project team.
Being part of this team, you will play a key part in delivering large civil engineering projects which will provide critical infrastructure to enable future, renewable developments across the Scotland.
You will be required to work out of our area office located in Peterhead, Scotland.
Your work environment This role will be located at our Peterhead office.

Your mission As the Site Quality Engineer you will be responsible for: Assist with the preparation and operation of the project execution plan (PEP).
Report on the effectiveness of the project quality system and implementation of the PEP.
Assist project staff in preparing documented information required by the project and the PEP.
Report on suitability of subcontractor and supplier quality systems.
Monitor the implementation of the quality system documented information by the site team, subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist with the preparation of site procedures, activity plans and assurance records to ensure that staff have comprehensive and complete records for work carried out.
Contribute to the project programme of audits of BAM Nuttall work and subcontractors / suppliers and support the close-out of corrective actions.
Co-operate with staff and customer representatives to ensure that problems of quality are solved promptly and efficiently.
Report monthly on the current status of the project systems.
Conduct regular inspections and surveillance to ensure compliance with quality requirements and produce reports of findings.
Provide expertise to document originators in the formation of Inspection and Test Plans and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) checksheets.
Collaborate with project teams to identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures.
Support delivery of as-built records and H&S Files within site teams.
Provide training to project teams on quality standards, processes, and tools.
Investigate and analyse non-conformance incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective action.
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to quality plans and standards.
Carry out other relevant duties from time to time.
Who are we looking for?
The following are required requirements: Experience supporting the planning, implementing, monitoring and improvement of quality management systems in relation to site activities.
Membership of, or working towards, a related professional body at 'affiliate/associate' level, or equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Proficient in the application and use of information technology.
The following are desirable requirements: Awareness of digital construction applications, platforms and practices.
Degree level qualification or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience of working in construction project delivery.
Basic knowledge of Lean construction practices and techniques.
