SIEL is recruiting for an outstanding Head of Internal Audit who will be responsible for managing SIEL's internal audit function, which performs independent audits, and reports to SIEL's BACC on the results of such independent audits, focusing on the design and operational effectiveness of SIEL's systems and controls across a number of areas, based on an independently-determined, risk-based internal audit programme which takes into consideration the nature, scale and complexity of SIEL's business and the nature and range of the services and activities undertaken in the course of that business.
What you'll do: Reporting on SIEL Activities to Group Internal AuditCommunication to SIEL Executive Management on SIEL Internal Audit ActivitiesReporting to SIEL BACC on SIEL and Group-Leveraged Internal Audit ActivityExternal Auditor Oversight (shared with Finance and CASS)Ensure effective relationships with the global Leadership teams and London Executive CommitteeMaintain current knowledge of business activities e.g.
market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc.
Maintain ongoing and effective communication of these where appropriate.Demonstrates the appropriate level of awareness and understanding of SIEL's business strategy and business model appropriate to the proposed role.Has an appropriate level of understanding of the firm's business, its products, services and client base as well as key markets.Experience with international group organisations and working within a matrix organisation.What you'll bring to the role: Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams.Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of the main internal and external risks facing SIEL.Lead and mentor the Internal Audit TeamCommunicate the audit plan, progress and key findings to the senior management teamEnsure audits are conducted in accordance with the audit plan and on timeConduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential areas of risk within the organizationAdvise management on risk mitigation strategies and improvements to internal controlDemonstrates the ability to understand and interpret the financial information specific to his/her business areaStrong understanding of UK corporate governance standardAttributes we value: Upholds high standards of integrity and probity, supporting the directors in instilling the appropriate effectiveness, values and behaviours within SIELDemonstrates an awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which SIEL operatesDemonstrates an ongoing fitness, propriety and expertise to discharge responsibilities.
