Shift Engineer - Boxford The Shift Engineer will be responsible to provide maintenance and engineering service support for Site, driving improved performance and cost, services and quality - reporting to the Engineering Manager Roles & Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on FMCG production and packaging machinery, as well as associated process plant Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, minimising downtime Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to support machine reliability Support/lead production line improvements/project initiatives driving efficiency A key focus of the role is on development of proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activity Results focused to ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely and professional manner Knowledge, Skills & Experience + Qualifications Required Strong technical competence in FMCG environment Completed an apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical engineering Promotes safe working practices Multi skilled electrical & mechanical - Experienced production environment with plc, pneumatic control with a high mechanical aptitude with good diagnostic skills Electrical qualifications: City & Guilds level 3 is a minimum requirement City & Guilds 2365 - 236, 2330 or 2360 or 2351 or HNC City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing (desirable) 18th Edition (desirable) Shift pattern: 4-week shift rotation as follows: DAYS 06:00 - 18:00 NIGHTS 18:00 - 06:00 Week-1: Monday, Tuesday = DAYS - Friday Saturday and Sunday = NIGHTS Week-2: Wednesday, Thursday = DAYS Week-3: Monday, Tuesday = NIGHTS - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday = DAYS Week-4: Wednesday, Thursday = NIGHTS
