About The Role The Workdry Group has seen enormous growth over recent years and is scaling up its investment in technology to drive greater customer engagement and operational efficiency. Due to this, we are recruiting a Senior Security and Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems by applying cybersecurity best practices and leveraging Azure's security features.
Tasks & Responsibilities: You will be designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure, and security controls for cloud-based environments, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) solutions. This will be alongside implementing and maintaining virtual networks, storage accounts, and other Azure resources (Azure Security Centre, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Key Vault). You will be responsible for conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, as well as monitoring and responding to security incidents and alerts. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance within industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Work closely with development, operations, and IT teams to integrate security into the DevOps process. Provide guidance and support on security best practices. Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CSSP, CISSP, or CEH. Demonstrable experience in cybersecurity and cloud engineering. Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services and security features. Deep understanding of Azure networking concepts, security services (Azure Compute, Storage, Networking and Databases), and Azure security best practices. Hands-on experience working with security tools and technologies (e.g., XDR, NDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM) including Azure Sentinel. Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) and Azure DevOps. Knowledge of virtual networks, load balancers and VPN gateways. Skills with containerisation (desirable). Knowledge of Azure data lake and Azure IOT hub a bonus, and additionally knowledge of Azure API tooling. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
