About the role :We are recruiting a full-time, senior research assistant for a time-limited post (31/12/2027).
Employed and supported by an academic team from the University, you will work in a hybrid model, from Manchester Metropolitan University and home, and will be required to travel to Nuffield Health sites in the UK.The post-holder will support the delivery of collaborative projects between Manchester Metropolitan and Nuffield Health partnership.
Specific key tasks include: Reporting on progress of research projects to Manchester Metropolitan and Nuffield Health partnership group.Academic liaison between Manchester Metropolitan and Nuffield Health to utilise collective expertise.Undertake qualitative and mixed methods research using appropriate research designs, including qualitative interviews, surveys, and desk-based literature reviews.Drafting research proposals, including ethics applications.Data collection and analysis, including qualitative data.Contribute to the production of research reports and publications.
About the candidate:We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive colleague who has experience of undertaking qualitative research and literature reviews.
You will have strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.You should have experience of: Health and wellbeing intervention research.Behaviour change techniques.Data collection via one: one interviews, focus groups, surveys.Qualitative data analysis e.g.
thematic analysis/ framework analysis and mixed-methods analysis.Undertaking literature reviews e.g.
Scoping and systematic reviews, qualitative synthesisPresenting and communicating complex information to a range of audiences, both orally and in writing.Actively engaging in and contributing to writing and publishing research papers in peer reviewed journals.Prioritising work independently and as part of a team in order to deliver individual and team objectives.Problem solving using initiative to propose practical solutions as necessary.Experience of writing research proposals and submitting ethics applications
