Are you an experienced Quality Engineer seeking a leadership role in a technical manufacturing environment?
Our client, a specialist provider of advanced solutions for the aerospace and Ministry of Defence sectors, is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Leigh.

In this crucial role, you will lead quality initiatives, acting as the key figure within the Quality team and ensuring adherence to stringent industry standards.
Reporting directly to senior management, you will oversee the organisation's quality strategy and serve as the primary authority on all quality matters.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage quality assurance and control activities, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
Drive problem-solving initiatives, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Conduct internal and supplier audits, and oversee preparations for external audits.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.
Represent the organisation in quality-related interactions with customers and regulatory bodies.
Mentor and guide the Quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the aerospace or defence sectors.
In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other quality management systems.
Strong IT skills and computer literacy.
Excellent problem-solving and leadership abilities.
A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualifications would be highly beneficial.
