Job Title: Senior Project Manager Contract Type: Permanent Location: Alderley Edge, Glasgow, or Edinburgh Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based Closing date: 19th November 2024 We are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to join our Change team.
This is a great opportunity to lead a diverse range of projects or small portfolios, all of which will support achievement of the Group strategy, effectively and efficiently.
The team deliver data and technology focused projects in key areas including Brand & Marketing, Enabling Functions, Customer, Commercial and within our technical space.
You will have overall responsibility for planning and managing the delivery of the function's change projects and support for the portfolio covering both Business and Technical driven change.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and to work on a variety of projects with budgets varying in size and scale.
About the role Manage complex data and technology initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business (including small portfolios).
Full project life cycle management from initiation to deployment, with proven ability to operate at different stages of the project cycle simultaneously.
Promote continuous improvement by actively engaging within colleagues across Change and other areas of Royal London Build a collaborative, commercial relationships with 3rd parties to manage costs and maximise value?.
About you Proven track record of successful project and programme delivery, ideally (but not essential) in a Financial Services environment.
Familiar with managing complex, interdependent deliveries resolving conflicting priorities with stakeholders and impact assessing / agreeing changes to plan.
Experience of building and leading high performing teams, creating a supportive environment to maximise colleague contribution and engagement.
High competence in use of Microsoft Project and Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
Proactivity and future thinking around the management and control of programme/project costs and benefits, with focus on risk and financial management.
Strong stakeholder management experience at all levels up to C-suite.
Thorough understanding of different project delivery methodologies and ways of working and able to adopt the most suitable approach to a given project.
A self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision or direction.
