Salary up to £32,000 per annum Top 60 firm Extensive benefits We're working alongside a leading top 60 firm, looking for a Senior Debt Recovery Paralegal to join our clients Restructuring and Insolvency team.
Based in their central Birmingham office, you will support the Senior Debt Recovery Manager in overseeing the team, whilst also managing your own caseload.
The position would suit a Debt Recovery Paralegal looking to progress their career in this area, or an experienced Supervisor looking for a varied debt recovery role.
Responsibilities include: Supervising the day-to-day work of the team.
Deputising for the Senior Debt Recovery Manager.
Managing aspects of files managed and undertaking routine legal tasks.
Undertaking legal processes, such as routine file management including file opening and billing.
Drafting legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates.
Undertaking legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner.
Provide legal support to the designated senior lawyer and act as a legal resource providing help where required.
Take an active role with the Paralegal and Trainee (PT) group and attend networking events or careers fairs to provide appropriate support as required.
Take an active part in promoting the firm through Social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR.
What we need from you: Good commercial awareness.
Minimum of two years' experience as a Debt Recovery Paralegal.
A strong understanding of the debt recovery process.
Experience of issuing claims to the Courts.
Experience of supervising a team is desirable, but not essential.
