This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of operational and financial strategies, maintaining efficiency, and delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of operational experience, preferably working in the education sector with a proven track record in managing contract costings, and the ability to draft and manage contracts to ensure financial viability.
This role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel during the day as needed, with mileage reimbursed.
Working closely with the Operations Director, you will oversee day-to-day operations, align financial resources with business goals, and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
A positive, can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and support teams are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: * Assist the company Directors in managing daily operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Oversee the financial aspects of operational contracts, including costing and profitability analysis, to ensure the financial sustainability of customer contracts.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with industry specific and financial requirements.
* Support with the implementation of operational strategies to improve performance, reduce costs, and optimise resources.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of both operational and financial performance.
* Support the Operations Director in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency.
* Motivate and support teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
* Demonstrate a flexible approach to work, with a willingness to travel during daytime hours as required (mileage reimbursed).
* Utilise intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, to manage financial data, create reports, and track performance metrics.
* Take initiative in addressing operational challenges with innovative solutions.
Abilities and Experience: * Minimum 3 years of operational experience with a proven track record in managing finance-related tasks, such as costing and budgeting.
* Experience drafting and managing customer contracts, including financial evaluations.
* Strong understanding of financial processes and their impact on operations.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
* Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Flexibility to travel locally as needed during the workday.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
