Job Title: Senior National Account Manager (Retail) Reports to: Head of Retail Location: Joseph Heler Cheese, Nantwich, Cheshire Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM Salary: Up to £75,000 (dependent on experience) competitive bonus and car allowance About Us At Joseph Heler Cheese, we are dedicated to crafting exceptional cheese products that delight our customers.
As we embark on an exciting growth journey, we are seeking a talented Senior National Account Manager to elevate our relationships within the Retail sector.
If you have experience within food manufacturing and you're passionate about driving retail sales and building strategic partnerships, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities As a Senior National Account Manager, you will: Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and execute channel strategies that align with our ambitious growth goals in the Retail sector.
Achieve Sales Targets: Deliver new business opportunities and meet volume and margin expectations.
Build Strong Relationships: Manage and enhance trading relationships with key accounts, focusing on both Own Label and Brand products.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with supply chain, operations, technical, marketing, and innovation teams to align on customer needs and streamline processes.
Market Analysis: Analyse market trends and customer data to identify new business opportunities and respond proactively to competitor activities.
Negotiate Effectively: Secure favourable contracts and terms of trade to maximise profitability.
Performance Reporting: Provide regular insights and reports on account performance to senior management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Long-Term Planning: Maintain a strategic, long-term perspective in account management to align actions with both business and customer interests.
About You We're looking for candidates who have: Extensive Experience: Proven track record in commercial roles within food manufacturing for the UK Retail sector.
Strong Analytical Skills: A deep understanding of costing and pricing strategies.
Exceptional Negotiation Abilities: Strong skills in relationship building and networking.
Cross-Functional Knowledge: Familiarity with supply chain, technical, finance, operations, and marketing functions.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
