Job DescriptionOverall purpose of the role: Assist the Senior Country Manager, UK and the COO of Natixis UK in the preparation, research and presentation papers and support in day-to-day management activities.
Contribute, coordinate or lead key firm initiatives and document key management committees.
Main responsibilities and duties of the role: Working in very close and confidential collaboration with the Senior Country Manager, UK, and the COO/Chief of Staff of the branch, main responsibilities and duties of the role include:
Design & Execution of Branch's projects:Act as a coordinator for branch-wide projects in support of the Senior Country Manager, UK or COO, or when relevant in support of the Branch's head of Change Management.Projects vary from new strategies, new organisation, or new regulatory change, to workspace redesign or crisis management.Project tasks can vary from stakeholder coordination to more in-depth subject matter analysis and solutions design.Some projects would require the Intern to lead autonomously, while others will require the Intern to be part of the project team.Support to the Senior Country Manager, UK:Provide assistance to the SCM in the preparation of presentations.Produce synthesis and convey straight to the point communication.Produce swiftly ad hoc reports/analysis in a concise way and elaboration of Strategic plans.Perform any ad-hoc research/study on UK market activities.Support on Branch-wide regulatory topics:Assist the SCM, COO or other business members of the Executive Committee in continuous adherence to financial regulations, such as staying up to date with regulatory news and articles, performing ad-hoc research or analysis on the impacts of regulatory change.Participate in the design, coordination or execution of presentations for local or European supervisors, replies to Regulators requests.Contribution to the branch's Culture initiative:Support the SCM and the whole Executive Committee in the design and implementation of initiatives contributing to the promotion of Natixis Culture and Values: Townhall/All-Staff addresses, Branch events, Trainings, Communication, Green & Sustainable initiatives, Diversity promotion, Flexible working.Assist the COO in the financial steering of the COO Area: yearly and quarterly budget preparation, maintenance of headcount files, analysis of costs, tracking of internal recharges.Ad-hoc financial presentations.Coordination of initiatives leading to better financial efficiency.Support to the Branch governance:Documentation of key branch committees: pre-committee research and preparation, support building, minutes of Conduct Committee, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Crisis Management Team.Coordination of key information gathering for Executive Committee, such as Key Risk Dashboard or Branch projects dashboard.Preparation of agenda, documentation gathering and minutes of the COO Management Committee.Coordinate and produce the documentation of the activities performed in the UK branch and maintain governance maps and Terms of Reference of UK branch committees.Audit follow-up:Tracking and reporting of progress of audit recommendations' completion for COO area.
Required Skills/Qualifications/ExperienceGood understanding of Investment Banking or Capital Markets activities, ideally acquired through previous internships or apprenticeships in Bank, Asset Management, Hedge Fund, Consultancy/Strategy Group.Graduate degree or equivalent, ideally, but not restricted to the fields of Business, Finance, Economics, Political Sciences, STEM or equivalent.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to produce synthesis and convey straight to the point communication.Ability to write ad hoc reports/analysis in a concise and articulate way.Able to work autonomously, reliable.Inquisitive mind and out of the box thinking.Strong Interpersonal skills.Fluency in English and another European language would be useful.
