Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for two distinct job responsibilities Franchise Management and Retail Marketing.
You will be responsible for developing and executing franchise and retail marketing plans with DTR & Halo / Collaboration partners, retailers and key licensees, that leverage the richness of NBCUniversal's entertainment content to build a sustainable business that achieves annual revenue targets.
You will activate global franchise strategies for Fashion & Living and Food, Beauty and Care (F&L and FBC) regional licensees and retailers; ensuring local relevance and partnering across other business units within the company with the goal of building or maintaining consumer relevance of our most important brands (IP).
Managing events such as partner summits and key partner meetings / studio swings.
You will also be an important Regional brand lead working between the EMEA & Global Franchise teams located in Los Angeles and local Marketing teams across Europe (Germany, Italy, Spain, France, UK, Benelux, etc.
), advocating for regional needs.Additionally, this role will develop and execute short- and long-term retail channel strategies delivering annual growth strategies that leverage the strength of the NBCUniversal's franchise portfolio, category and consumer priorities.The role will be responsible for being the voice of the brand, consumer, and retail, balancing the demands of delivering marketing activations that drive ROI and promoting retail sell-in of ranges.Franchise Marketing:Partner with Regional Category Leads (FBC & DTR) to ensure Franchise / Retail Strategy is a core part of the Partner Strategic planDevelop and execute Regional partner territory specific franchise marketing activations, to support UP&E while creating demand value and awarenessDevelop cross-divisional symphony programs (both marketing and PR) with other NBCUniversal business unitsPartner with Franchise Management (Global and EMEA) to guide implementation of franchise strategies and Regional needsInspire licensee, Halo / Collab partners and retailers through engaging brand and retail presentationsAttend top-tier Regional Retail and Licensee meetings ( PRIMARK Swings, Regional FBC partner & Polish partner pitches to share brand and retail plans Plan screenings for licensees and retailers as requiredManage mall activations and costume character appearances for key partners where relevantResponsible for overseeing presentation support and coordination of all Regional events (Partner summits, Immersion sessions, Swings, Top to tops) from conceptualisation to executionCollaborate with global events team to secure required event assets via the events tool kit, including invitation templates, banners, etc.
Work with global marketing team to secure required presentationsLeverage regional toolkits as developed by Franchise, to activate and support 365 day business across the core propertiesIdeate and develop compelling Franchise partner campaigns with focused activation plans, sharing with EMEA and Global stakeholdersBrand guardian for NBCUniversal IP's, contributing to the EMEA Franchise vision and best practice processesContribute to Regional brainstorm sessions and project taskforcesWhere relevant, manage strategy and activation of influencer and paid social marketing campaignsLiaise with DTR & FBC / Collab / Halo Partners and align with EMEA Franchise team to elevate content during key retail and CP moments relevant to franchiseRetail Marketing, Planning and Execution:Develop, maintain, and drive relationships across Marketing and Buyers in conjunction with category teams to drive product placement and sell throughCurate, present, and execute sales driving Retail marketing programs in line with brand guidelines and individual DTR / FBC / Collab Partner expectations - events, digital, print, radio, TV, cinema, social, trading banners, POS etc.Proactively conceptualize and develop cross promotions with other Universal divisionsSharing of best practice with Franchise and Retail & Marketing teams in US to ensure creative is consistent and on brandRemain competitively aware of competitors' retail programs & share best practices/resultsManage execution and account management of assigned marketing partnerships with DTR / FBC / Collab Partners; includes in-store marketing, promotions, sweepstakes, out-of-home, print, online/mobile content, packaging, premiums, etc.Managing the EMEA Franchise and Trade marketing budgetApprove all Retail marketing submissions from DTR's, FBC & COLLAB PartnersProvide comprehensive marketing program recaps and post analysis including measurable results, ROI, and how we compare to competitive programs and maintain examples of best in class programs to help drive the planning processRegular attendance of trade shows and social industry functions where applicable – LVLE, Brand Licensing EuropeQualificationsStrong Brand Marketing experienceExtensive experience with retail/trade marketing, promotions or packaged goods experience with significant experience creating large scale programsDeep knowledge of retail business including retail marketing tactics, promotional partners/packaged goods and consumer productsRelationship builderExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong sales and negotiation skillsAble to thrive in a matrix organizationA brand builder and commercial thinkerProven track record of hitting targets and delivering growthAbout You Results driven – own the numbers, be invested and be hungry to grow the business with solid analytical/financial skillsInfluential - proven ability pitching and negotiating skills with the ability to close dealsEntrepreneurial – a self-starter, who is tenacious, independent, driven and proactiveResilient – not afraid to fail, getting back up and keep putting in the effortGlobal & holistic thinker – understand the wider contextConfident being self – brings full personality and interests to workLight-hearted – a sense of humour, dealing patiently with frustrationsPassionate – energetic, engaged, positive and desiring to make a differenceAdaptable, agile & flexible – able to pivot quickly, adapt strategies and deal with changeGood communicator – honest, transparent, and flexible depending on the audience.
