Vacancy Summary Job Title: Senior Estimator Job Type: Permanent Job Ref: #1133 Location: Suffolk Start Date: ASAP Salary: £65k-£70k basic plus competitive package Company & Project: An established regional contractor operating in the Mixed-Use, Leisure, Commercial and Education sectors, are seeking to recruit an experienced and effective Senior Estimator to join their friendly estimating team.
Our client has secured a number of key projects in 2025.
They are now looking to add a new Senior Estimator to their team to focus on their busy tender pipeline.
The business has a long-standing pre-construction team with an experienced Pre-Construction Manager that would be an excellent mentor for the successful individual.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the cost plans and pricing of single and 2-stage tenders in the main under JCT D&B forms of contract and typically £5m - £15m in value.
There are a large number of tenders from a pre-existing frameworks in addition to selective tender.
You will assist with producing BOQ's, take offs, full cost plans and target cost reporting with occasional pre con surveying duties including deed of appointment and procurement.
Desirable Experience: - 5 years+ experience in a pure estimating role with a main contractor.
- Use of Causeway software would be advantageous.
- Sector experience must include New Build and/or Refurbishment projects.
- Previous Roles: Estimator OR Senior Estimator OR Principal Estimator OR Intermediate Estimator.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree or HND/HNC in a Construction related subject.
Causeway software experience preferable.
