Job summary The Emergency Department is looking to employ a Band 7 Emergency Nurse to work as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner for the Minors area of the Emergency Department.You will be a highly skilled nurse with drive, commitment and a strong sense of leadership to join our innovative team aiming to deliver excellent patient centred care.
The successful applicant will be expected to be involved in service development and day-to-day leading of the minors footprint.This is a rotational post inclusive of night duty.
Main duties of the job This is a unique Band 7 role as you will be expected to work predominantly as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
You will also be involved in the streaming of appropriate patients to Primary Care services.If you are a knowledgeable and skilled Emergency Nurse Practitioner with significant ENP experience at Band 6 or above, this could be the role for you.You will need to have a recognised Nurse Practitioner qualification (Developing Clinical Skills or equivalent).

Job description Job responsibilities This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC Pin within the next 2-3 months.
Please note an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receivea full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.

Person Specification Qualifications & Registration Essential Current NMC registration.
Degree level studies or equivalent portfolio of evidence.
ENP qualification.
Desirable Management/ leadership qualification.
Evidence of speciality specific courses/study days.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Essential Post registration experience + experience within speciality at a senior level.
Evidence of professional/ specialist clinical and managerial expertise and acquired through CPD and experience Evidence of leadership, management and team development at clinical level.
Evidence of involvement and leadership in teaching and mentoring learners.
Evidence of involvement in the development of protocols and clinical audit.
