Job summary Opportunities have arisen for Senior Radiographers, Band 6 to work within the Medical Imaging Department on the Ipswich Hospital Site within East Suffolk & North Essex Foundation Trust.We have permanent posts due to an expansion of our service and a fixed term post to cover a secondment.We are part of a large district general hospital and you will be expected to rotate through all areas including the Emergency Department, CT scan, Fluoroscopy , all the plain film imaging modalities as well as opportunities for the right candidates to train within Vascular & Intervention and Cardiac modalities.We operate extended day working across a 7 day week and you will be expected to undertake overnight duties including undertaking emergency CT scans, covering weekends/bank holidays on a rostered basis.You will be required to support the managers and area Leads with delivery of an efficient and effective service within the current challenging healthcare environment.Previous/current NHS experience is essential for this role.
Main duties of the job Uphold trust values and behaviours leading by exampleUndertake diagnostic imaging procedures according to agreed protocolsSupport senior staff, radiologists and area leads to ensure effective and efficient organisation of the workload across the serviceDevelop and maintain good, effective channels of communication within the multi-disciplinary teamSupervises junior radiographic, and support staff including undergraduates on clinical placementAdherence to Radiation Protection legislation/governance and report breaches using the DATIX incident reporting system, including notifying senior staff/RPS as appropriate About us We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.
