The Mersey Forest Team is seeking an articulate and persuasive communicator to tell the Mersey Forest's story and help us deliver our forest plan, promoting the organisation's projects and opportunities to our key audiences and stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid (home and on-site working, with occasional office visits as required) Contract type: Fixed term contract until 31 March 2027 (extension subject to funding) Salary: £33,366 - £37,938 Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week The ideal candidate will be a strategic communication professional, using data and research to develop communication plans, transforming insights into actions that will deliver measurable results.
Collaboration is one of your strengths, as you work seamlessly across teams and partners to ensure timely and effective communication planning and execution.
With a love of storytelling, you'll be out and about across the area with the team and key stakeholders, capturing compelling stories from across the forest.
You'll be comfortable engaging a wide range of our stakeholders through various communication channels, including social media and at face-to-face events, highlighting the support the Mersey Forest team can provide and the benefits that our work is making in the area.
In a typical week you will: Develop and deliver innovative communication strategies that inspire and engage audiences, with a focus on landowner engagement.
Utilise a wide range of communication channels—digital platforms, social media, media outreach, photography, videography, and copywriting—to connect with target audiences and implement effective campaigns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaborative and cohesive communications.
Carry out research and evaluation to measure the impact of communication activities, using insights to continuously improve campaigns.

This role is a Hybrid Flexible Worker .
The job holder would be expected to attend The Mersey Offices at Risley Moss, Warrington at least one day a week or to be out on site with the team.
Flexibility would be required depending on the work programme.
This role requires travel across the Mersey Forest area for meetings and filming on a regular basis.
