Job overview Working Full Time: 37.5 hours per weekSenior Commercial Procurement Specialist.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Procurement Services Team, an accredited Framework Host via NHS England.
You will report to the Commercial Procurement Manager and form part of a team which is responsible for developing and putting in place National Framework Agreements that can be used across the NHS and Public Sector as a whole.
The role also includes providing external Procurement and Supply Chain Management services to client organisations both within the Health Services and wider public and private sectors.You will be running EU compliant tender processes.The role requires experience in public sector procurement and application of the Public Contract Regulations .In addition you will need to have the following skills: Negotiation skills;Be able to act autonomously;Understanding of the current health economy; The candidate is required to have a knowledge of procurement principles acquired through either, MCIPS accreditation or actively working towards it (minimum level of 5 must have been achieved,) relevant degrees or experience.The role requires you to undertake a wide range of duties, please read the full job description for more details.
Previous Applicants Need Not Apply Main duties of the job For full details for this role, please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification which outlines the requirements.The Senior Commercial Procurement Specialist is responsible for: contributing towards the delivery of the Trusts Procurement Cost Reduction Strategy; contributing towards the operational development of the commercial procurement strategy and the undertaking of wider commercial and procurement activities.This includes the development of novel framework agreements to income generate and support the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) engagement agenda.
Further to this, the role also includes supporting the Director of Commercial Procurement in providing external Procurement and Supply Chain Management services to client organisations both within the Health Services and wider public and private sectors.
Leading on any review projects within external organisations to support the generation of income into the Trust.The Senior Commercial Procurement Specialist is responsible for the proactive management of commercial procurement projects and initiative delivery.
The Senior Commercial Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting the training and development of any junior commercial procurement member of staff.
